If the world was ending soon
I saw on Twitter a trend that said, "If the world was ending soon what would you do?" I put a smart ass post like others and said, "Not have to listen to Madonna ever again!" There's a LOT more I'd do, so I thought it would make for a good blog post.
What would YOU do if the world was ending soon? Let's give this "soon" a timeline of 2 months.
Here's what I would do:
My first thoughts would be how do I save and or protect my kids? If the entire world was ending, there'd be no saving them no matter how hard I tried. I'd not let them spend their last two months in fear. I'd make sure to keep them happy and busy, do EVERYTHING they want.
My oldest son doesn't want for a lot, he's a pretty quiet kid for being 13. He loves to play video games on his Xbox. I'd buy him all the Apex money he'd want. He also loves Tim Horton's so I'd take him there as much as he wanted.
My middle son wants a lot of things! I'd give him a ton of Roblox money, take him horseback riding again, swimming more, ice skating, to a skate park with his skateboard, get his hair cut just the way he wants it, have RUSH shipping on ALL the merch he wants from his favorite YouTubers, take him to where my mom's ashes were spread, take him to Calaway Park just outside Calgary, take him to the Calgary Stampede and to a movie of his choice.
My youngest son also likes a decent amount of things. I'd also take him to Calaway Park, Calgary Stampede, get him a nice new phone, take him to meet his favorite YouTuber, meet his favorite hockey player Sidney Crosby, and buy him all the hot wheels he wants.
All three of my boys, I'd spend as much quality time making amazing memories with them as we possibly could! If the world was ending, I'd make sure we all go out happy, with great memories.
My daughter who's 21, I'd do whatever fun things she'd want to do. She's pretty quiet like I am so we'd probably go out to eat, go shopping, to movies, get makeovers, watch out favorite TV shows together, snack, go to places we'd want to see...
I'd take ALL of my kids for a trip to Paris France, as I have to go there ONCE before the world ends and I die. My life wouldn't be complete without going to Paris. I'd go to the Catacombs, Eiffel tower, locks of love bridge, I love you wall, visit the thrift shops, cafe's, bakeries, and book stores.
Maybe I'd pack up my kids and I and just travel to all the places we'd want to see before the world ended. That would be something. Just buy a camper and travel, see the beautiful sites we've never seen, explore as much of the world as we could and just live life the happiest we could before our time was up. I think that would be an amazing idea. We could just travel, finding places we didn't even know existed! Stop in haunted locations, ghost towns, small towns, explore what they have to see, take all kinds of photos and again, make the greatest memories.
I think instead of going to Paris and doing something separately with each child, packing up and traveling together would be such a better option. That way we'd all have the same amount of time together, no one feels left out and we all have great memories together rather than apart.
I'm really not putting too much thought into it as it's just hypothetical. What would YOU do if the world was ending in two months?
