Hipster/Boho home decor ideas

I have been fascinated by Hipster, Boho and hippy decor for a few years now. I don't dress that way but I'd love to decorate my house that way. It's so cozy, unique artsy and full of nature. I am posting some ideas I like, you may like as well.

To makeover your house boho, hippy or hipster style is really quite easy as you'll see. I hope you enjoy.

Here are three different desk ideas. I really like the top and bottom ideas. I'd probably do a mix of both. My desk, however, is never that tidy.

There are four living room ideas. The top photo is for music lovers. You can hang old or new record covers on your wall with some hats, sunglasses and other small photos you enjoy looking at.

The second photo is also for music lovers and also photography lovers. You can display your collection of records and cameras. It's a really cool idea. It's not messy or overdone, it's nice and neat, and doesn't clash. It's a nice mix.

The third photo has a nice collection of art on the walls and different colour area rugs. It's cool that the area rugs are two totally different colours, styles and textures yet, they don't clash. The room really looks good with a lot of focal points.

The fourth picture I'd have to say is my favourite. I love the sofa with lounger, the throw blankets, wall hanging, area rugs and all the plants. I'd makeover my living room like this one.

These five photos are all about the bedroom. The bedroom is most likely where you spend most of your time when you're home. Make it personal and comfortable. You don't want to be in a room you're uncomfortable in. It's space to relax, unwind and feel at ease in.

The first photo is pretty simple and matching. There's a lot of black and white. I'm more of a black and pink girl, to each their own I suppose. The different size lanterns are a really unique touch. I also really like the photos in the corner on the walls. I wouldn't have the white curtains, I'd have black ones. I like my room extra dark at night and able to block out the light during the day if I'd like to watch TV in my room or my writing.

The second photo is a super easy, cheap and cool way to make a canopy of sorts. All you need is whatever colour curtains you like, some lights (that don't heat up) and curtain rods. It's really pretty and so easy to do. It gives your bed a whole new look.

The third photo has white bedding, which I would never do! I don't like white, every speck of dirt shows up on it. I'd either have a black comforter or pink. Right now I have a reversible comforter. One side is white, the other is black. I always have the black side up with throw blankets at the foot of my bed.  It's overrun with plants which are really good to have in your room. You give off carbon monoxide at night so having a lot of plants is good for your breathing. Plus it looks really nice.

The fourth photo is interesting. It's kind of rustic western and hipster. There's a lot of wood in this room, a branch with some lights strung around it and some dreamcatchers hanging from it just above the bed. I really like this idea. I don't mind the brown and tan colours and lanterns. I would never have real fur in my room but, to each their own.

The fifth picture is too plain for me but, I do like the hanging above the bed. I like the different size dreamcatchers; I have my own collection of dreamcatchers, I could easily do this.

These last two photos are unique things you can do to decorate a spot on your walls. The guitar was cut open. The wood from the top of the guitar was used to make the shelves inside it.

I once saw in a Nightmare on Elm Street movie the girl had a bunch of photos on her mirror. I think the picture above is a cool, new twist on that with photos all-around a moon-shaped mirror. Make sure if you're going to hang photos, you hang ones that actually mean something to you so you're not annoyed by looking at ones you don't like much.
