Tim Horton's - In my town, wait until you get a load of this!

Good morning, I thought because it's early morning I'd get my Tim Horton's post or should I say rant out of the way. If you're Canadian, Tim Horton's is most likely your home away from home. It's a nice, fast way to get your breakfast (or other meals and snacks) and drink. Their coffee is one of my favourites; besides Starbucks. Most people don't have complaints about Tim's but, they don't live in my town. If you were to look at the Google page or Facebook page for our Tim's, you'd be very disgusted with them. People say that they're very slow in service, rude, make constant mistakes and so on. They are NOT wrong!

I started going to our Tim's almost 2 years ago and at first it was great, like any other Tim's. The service was good, as was the coffee and whatever else we'd order. Then, as staff changed and time went on, it went DOWN HILL FAST!

They started to make mistakes like missing a drink, getting the size of the drinks wrong, forgetting an item in the bags they packed for meals or snacks. I started to complain on their pages and website. At one point they offered to talk to me regarding their mistakes and gave me a $10 gift card. Okay, thanks but, we spend far more than $10 a DAY at your Tim's. So, whatever.

Then the service got WORSE! I ordered an extra large dark roast triple triple. I got STANKY ASS SWAMP WATER!!! I mean, this shit tasted like 3 day old, nasty ass, dirt water and looked like it too! So, I took it back and said, "Would you drink this nasty ass swamp water? Why the hell would you serve this?" The server apologised and gave me a new coffee. I was NOT impressed.

And it got even WORSE!! Now more often than not if you went to the drive thru, there was a mistake to your order 9 times out of 10. It was getting pathetic. You had to literally check your orders before you drove away. If you ordered an egg sandwich with sausage, egg, cheese AND bacon, you'd get everything except the bacon or cheese... and one time the BOTTOM of the BUN was missing! Like get your SHIT together!

I went to the drive thru one day with my daughter, this black guy was serving us, normally he's very friendly but this day, he was a SUPER DOUCHE! He messed up our order, forgetting the iced coffee. He said what the total cost was and my daughter asked why it was lower than it should be, she asked what was on his screen for our order, so he read it out. She said, "No, you're missing the iced coffee." He got all flustered and said he wasn't missing anything so in turn she said "Yes you are, I can see the iced coffee sitting right there." He got angry and said, "You don't have to be a total BITCH about it." WTF??? Did he really call her a BITCH??? That's so UNPROFESSIONAL!! She said, "I know who your owner is, I'll be giving him a call." He LAUGHED and told her he did not care. We LEFT without our drinks. FUCK HIM! HE had NO RIGHT to call her any kind of name and be so ignorantly unprofessional.

I called the store he works at right away, asked for the manager or supervisor and told him what just happened. He was shocked and said he'd deal with it. NO! Fuck you, that's not good enough because talking to this guy wouldn't do fuck all, as he said, he didn't care. So, I posted the incident on their Google and Facebook pages, called the High River Tim's that he also owns and left my number.

I got a Facebook reply from the owner within the hour asking me to call him. He was friendly and not only was he highly disappointed in his staff member but embarrassed that this was posted on his public social media pages. He left a $20 gift card for us at the Tim's and said this guy would be reprimanded. If I was the owner, I would have FIRED the jack ass!

I haven't seen this guy at the drive thru in a while but I have seen him working still. To each their own I suppose. I mean, there's a TON of other people in town who'd LOVE to take his place working there. He should learn from this mistake and do a LOT better and BE a better person all together.

Mistakes are still happening but, hey, I don't expect ANYTHING more from this Tim's, the staff don't give TWO SHITS about their job and how they treat the customers. Until these people have more respect nothing is going to change.

I've worked food service. I was a waitress in town, I had to do the cash in and cash out, set up and clean up before close. I did the dishes, took the orders, served the food, took the take out orders over the phone and in person, packed the take out orders, handed them out to the customers and set up the buffet and cleaned it up. I even helped with prep cooking sometimes. I did everything except cook!
It wasn't a large place, 10 tables with 4 chairs per table, so if I made a mistake, it was NOT acceptable. I think in the 3 or so years I worked there I made maybe 4 or 5 mistakes in total. None of this CONSTANT horse shit Tim's does in town. So, when they make mistakes serving things as SIMPLE MINDED as coffee, yeah, I get pissed. How fucking hard is it to CORRECTLY taken an order, look at the screen and POUR, STIR, GIVE?!?!? It's so SIMPLE a CHIMP could do their jobs!!

I do have to say, the ONE thing Tim's has going for them right now is, these god damn DREAM DONUTS!! O.M.G. They're SO GOOD!!! I don't know how the chocolate one is, I'm not a big chocolate person but, my middle son says it's delicious! The other two donuts are FANTASTIC!!

The light brown one has cinnamon on top with sugar, the filling is like a light, caramel dream.
The pink one is my FAVOURITE! I call it the FLUFFY UNICORN POOP DONUT!! And I mean this in the BEST possible way. Anything to do with Unicorns is always good! LOL!

The pink icing is not too sweet, its really nice and tastes like strawberries. The sprinkles give it a nice light sweetness. The filling... OMG! It's nice, light, fluffy, that's the Unicorn poop part. It's SO FREAKING GOOD!!! I want them to KEEP these forever! Being a diabetic, I can't eat many of these, I really should NOT eat any but DAMN, once in a while, I give in. They're too good to not have any. I honestly do really like these. I don't know why people on social media are bitching about how bad they are. Maybe they're taste buds are shot to shit. I don't know but, they are AMAZING! If you haven't tried them, oh, you HAVE TO!

I am hoping the service at our Tim's gets a lot better soon. I am so sick and tired of having to check my orders, be bitchy with the staff for constantly fucking up and embarrassing the owner on social media. I WILL keep posting our very SHITTY encounters on their social media however, because how else is the owner going to know how BAD his staff is otherwise? And how can he make changes if no one ever says anything? I think he needs a WHOLE STAFF over haul. Fire 98% of them and start over fresh. Get people in there with people skills, who are respectful and want to be there. People who can multi task and remember the orders given to them. And people who DO care if they make a mistake and are told the customer will talk to their owner and not be insulted and sworn at.

I hope that anyone else who is a customer and is treated terribly like my daughter was, reports it to the owner. Don't let the staff get away with it. They aren't God's, they're just people, earning a dollar like anyone else and should RESPECT that fact.
