Thirsty Thursday
Welcome to Thirsty Thursday! Every Thursday I will post 6 new and fun drinks to make at home with the recipes included. Have fun and enjoy!
Ingredients:
This recipe is for a single margarita, if you want to make more you can double, triple, quadruple… (you get it) the recipe.
- 2 oz of your favorite Tequila

- 4 oz of cream soda
- A bunch of pink cotton candy
- Ice
Directions:
- In your glass, place a handful of cotton candy, enough to fill it.
- In a separate cup, add your liquid ingredients and stir.
- Pour the margarita mixture over the cotton candy.
- Add extra cotton candy if you’d like to make your drink sweeter.
- Add a few ice cubes.
- Enjoy!
Mermaid Rum Punch Party Tips:
- To add more flavor with less ice, which can water down the drink, freeze the banana and pineapple juice ahead of time.
- Want the blue effect, but don’t have Blue Curacao? You can aways add blueberry puree. Or mix a few drops of blue food coloring into your blender when mixing.
- Serve with blue drinking straws and and nautical shell cocktail napkins.
- Love the seashell coasters in the photos? You can click here to find them on Amazon.
- I love glass cups so you can see the blue swirled drink, but these Mermaid Squad cups are super cute and perfect for when you’re traveling or at the pool.

Place a 1½ cups of ice in a blender and pulse until you have slushie ice. Spoon two tablespoons of ice into each glass and place the glasses into the freezer for 15 minutes. Remove the glasses from the freezer and add two more tablespoons of slushie ice. Make as much slushie ice as you need during the process. Add two ounces of pineapple soda, and return the glasses to the freezer, continue the process using different colors of soda along with two tablespoons of slushie ice for each level.
