IPSY Glam bag January 2020 review
I received my FIRST IPSY glam bag today for January 2020. I was very excited to get this in the mail.
I was a tad disappointed when I opened it, the items are small, sample items and not much was inside the bag. I thought there'd be a lot more for $20 a month.
I received eyeliner, blush, face wash, a makeup brush, and eye shadow. The eye shadow and blush are very small, sample sizes.
I really like the colours though. They're really pretty. They'll match my skin tone well, as I am fair with blonde hair and hazel eyes. I might try them later. I don't wear makeup unless I am going out on a date or something.
The makeup brush is really pretty and REALLY soft!! I love it. The eyeliner is really nice too, I look forward to trying it. I like wearing eyeliner, makes my hazel eyes stand out more.
The bag I LOVE! I love the colour, size and feel of it. It's perfect to fit into my purse if I need to take makeup out with me for date night or whatever. I could even use it for my insulin.
This face wash smells amazing and makes my skin really soft. I really enjoy this. I may buy a larger bottle of this later on.
I look forward to February's glam bag. Let me know in the comments what YOU think of these cute products from IPSY and if YOU are a IPSY glam bag girl too?!!
UPDATE:
I decided to cancel my IPSY glam bag orders. I am cancelling because in Canada, you can only order one package and it's a very SMALL package and I feel is NOT worth $20 a month. The makeup I received was sample sizes, about the size of a toonie. I don't feel that $20 a month is worth that. I don't think anyone should pay anything for samples. I will find another service to use to do blogs about. One that isn't giving me baby size items.
I've also been paying attention to customer reviews on IPSY and a lot of them are not good. A lot of people complain that they aren't able to get a hold of customer service and that they are not getting refunded for issues they're having; one being IPSY taking out 2 or 3 payments in ONE month!! That's NOT okay. That was another reason I cancelled my service with them.
I am doing some research on makeup subscriptions in Canada, I found some and want to share my information with you, so you can try these too, if you're Canadian, instead of IPSY.
Most subscription box companies are based in the USA. I did a little bit of research to find out the ones that shipped to Canada and what the shipping costs would be.
I found a couple Canada based ones that have free shipping and prices in CAD. The only one I’ve personally had experience from the list below is Birchbox (update: they no longer are in Canada). I bought my daughter a six-month subscription for Christmas. She loves when that little pink box arrives every month.
